We’re thrilled to kick off the Bikes for a Brighter Future global initiative through Teknor Apex’s Murray Community Outreach Program — bringing purpose and pedal power to our communities! For over 100 years, our focus is forming and fostering long-term, rewarding relationships with not only our business partners, but also with the communities we serve.
Through partnerships with the Boys & Girls Clubs of America (Pawtucket) and United Way (South Carolina), and local charitable organizations in the US, Asia and Europe, Teknor Apex will donate and distribute children’s bicycles and bike helmets to kids with economically disadvantaged backgrounds. This new, and soon-to-be annual program, honors retired CEO and current Chairman of the Board, Jonathan Fain’s love of cycling and 53 years of dedicated service to Teknor Apex.
Teknor Apex employees will have the opportunity to actively participate in this program. We hope to immediately impact the lives of children by encouraging more healthy, active lifestyles and promoting bike safety.
“When I rode a bike as a child, it allowed me to exercise and gave me a sense of freedom and accomplishment. I hope that is what we are able to impart on the children who will benefit from this initiative. I’m honored that the company has created a program that combines our values with my passion so we can give back to the community.” - Jon Fain
“As our retired CEO and current Chairman of the Board of Directors, Jon's commitment to community and giving back has been an inspiration to us all,” -current CEO Donald Wiseman.
